If that makes sense to you, then this will too.  When a business owner, no matter if they are a lead generator or not, has a particular page in their website that is getting higher amounts of traffic by the web surfing public, they keep that page active so it's easily accessible.

There is some reason why the public is viewing that page over the others.  If that pages happens to be on a syndication website and happens to be of a Real Estate listing in Santa Clarita - great for the lead generation and syndication website.  However, a real estate listing cannot remain active forever, can it?  Well, you would be surprised how that listing can "appear" to be active for a lot longer than it should.  Even after it has SOLD!!!  

While that probably does not get you too wound up - the way to prevent this type of "misleading" is to stick to local search engines.  Stay to the Local Realtor's Websites.  They should have systems in place to allow anyone to search for real estate and listings that are current and for sale.  They should also have those systems updating several times per hour so the "home searching public" does not get misled.
