Looking at today's current inventory, it is a wonder anyone is getting what they want, first time buyer, savvy "move up buyer", or investor alike.
All of these buyer types are in the same boat when it comes to our constrictive housing market in the Santa Clarita Valley cities and elsewhere where we represent buyers and sellers in and around Los Angeles California.
There are several options that you have when it comes to getting what you want.
- Working with local real estate agents - This will become your best resource for those listings that are not on the market as of yet. This is due to the 'inter relationships' between top producing local agents. We give the intel to those we are close to, because we like those agents and we know that they will perform for our sellers and buyers alike.
- Searching the local Multiple Listing Service - The place you search for homes is equally important. There are many websites where you can conduct a search for homes. The best and most functional are those that get their data directly from the local Boards of Realtors. A True MLS search system will keep you "in the know" when it comes to the latest inventory additions, changes and price reductions and increases. The Real Estate syndication websites cannot obtain the true data, because they are "syndicating" listings. They are not licensed real estate brokers and they do no direct real estate buyer or seller representation at all.

- Real Estate company and brokerage matters - If you look at any local real estate market, there are some companies that are surviving.
