We have found that these two amounts are sometimes much different from one another. We have clients that are approved for a loan at $500,000.00 but are not comfortable with the payment that exceed a home priced at $350,000.00.
Not all real estate agents in the Santa Clarita Valley or elsewhere operate in the same manner. We start out with our Santa Clarita real estate buyers comfort zone then we increase the amounts if that is what the client wants. We never start out too high on the amounts so that our buyers start falling in love with homes, condos or town-homes that will eventually lead to disaster.
Work with local real estate agent when starting your real estate hunting and information gathering stages. Make sure you ask the "right" questions about their client representation model and if you are going to be working directly with the Head Agent, or if you are going to be pawned off to a buyers agent.
